Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Boosting Pregnancy Chances with IUI.
For some people on their family building journey, IUI is an option to consider. While it is not as successful as other treatments, it is sometimes the first option people choose.
What is IUI
The process develops an embryo through a minimally invasive procedure called Intrauterine insemination (IUI), also known as artificial insemination. In this process, sperm is placed into the uterus, bypassing the vagina and cervix, increasing the chances of pregnancy.
What Are The Steps in IUI?
First, we collect, wash, and prepare healthy sperm in the lab. We place that sperm into a medium that promotes fertility. Finally, a small catheter transfers the sperm into the uterus.
Is IUI Right For Me?
Intrauterine insemination is used most often in couples who have:
Unexplained Infertility
Mild Male Factor Infertility
Donor Sperm
Cervical Factor Infertility
Ovulatory Factor Infertility
