About the position

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will establish and maintain collaborative relationships within and outside the Ultrasound Department. Reporting to the Ultrasound Supervisor, this position performs and will be fully proficient in all ultrasound procedures associated with the diagnostic and therapeutic treatment services provided by Anova. You will ensure that data and documentation are accessible, accurate and filed correctly. Crucially, you will share the founder’s passion for being the international standard for successful reproductive health and fertility centres and for making the right to family accessible to everyone.

Major Responsibilities

  • Support Clinic by providing quality service to patients in friendly and calm manner
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound studies, adhering to established standards
  • Perform complete female assessments and assist specialists
  • Ensure proper set-up of ultrasound equipment to produce optimal visualization
  • Perform audits of equipment to ensure that this functions correctly
  • Assist with maintenance of ultrasound equipment and cleaning of ultrasound rooms
  • Record ultrasound findings in sonographer report and provide initial interpretation
  • Ensure that records are current, correct, complete, legible and traceable
  • Comply with safety and security procedures and use equipment in prescribed manner
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and security of records and patient information

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Successful completion of ultrasound training program
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, including scanning all stages of pregnancy
  • Current registration with ARDMS and/or Sonography Canada-credentialed membership
  • Familiar with color doppler, sonohysterography 3-dimensional ultrasound and infertility
  • Able to work flexibly, including rotation in weekend and statutory holiday schedule
  • Able to discuss complex topics with patients and check for understanding
  • Track record of punctual attendance and schedule adherence
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Thoroughness and keen attention to detail
