Jennifer Dickey, R.Ac
Jennifer Dickey, R.Ac
I graduated from the acupuncture program at Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine in 2016 and I’m a registered member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO). I’m clinically trained in Chinese and Japanese acupuncture techniques.
From the onset of my training, it has been my ambition to focus my expertise on reproductive health and fertility. Through natural methods and a holistic approach I work with people to regain hope and trust in their body’s reproductive functions.
It’s my passion to inspire people through education, simple diet and lifestyle changes integrated with treatments. This approach to healing is essential in achieving internal balance for successful conception and healthy pregnancy. I want to inspire people to be connected with their body’s and to empower their natural abilities to find balance and well-being, to achieve optimal reproductive health, and enhance their chances of conception.
During my studies I’ve had the incredible opportunity to travel to Cap Haitien, Haiti with the Naturopaths Without Borders and volunteer my skills and expertise to work in community clinics and hospitals empowering local women to focus on health and self-care during pregnancy. I educated nurses and midwives on acupressure and massage techniques for pregnancy care, labour preparation, and induction techniques.
Prior to studying acupuncture, I received a diploma in Social Service Work and went on to travel the world. It was while living in Sichuan, China where I experienced the benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine first hand.
When I’m not helping people make babies I am out enjoying nature walks, drinking tea and reading a book, eating good food, catching up with friends and family, and enjoying quality time with my boyfriend and his beautiful daughter.
Dr. Pearl Arjomand, ND
Dr. Pearl Arjomand, ND
Dr. Pearl Arjomand, ND, primarily focuses on women’s health with a special interest in reproductive health, issues that affect menstrual health and fertility. She works closely with her patients to identify disruptions in hormones and utilizes effective natural therapies with her patients to help optimize their fertility and aid in conception. She strives to educate and empower her patients to take an active role in their health.
Hormone balance starts within and is reflected physically. When hormones are out of balance and nutrients are deficient women often feel tired, irritable and start to experience irregular periods, hot flashes, sleep problems, and trouble with conception. Physically, women may start to experience weight gain, acne, hair loss and changes in skin. When hormones and nutrient status are optimal women not only feel better but the aging process also slows down and they look better.
Dr. Arjomand loves to work with women to help them feel and look their best selves again by optimizing thyroid function and sex hormones as well as regulating the body’s stress response.
She has studied and is able to prescribe bio-identical hormones and desiccated thyroid to help the body restore normal function. Her certification in intravenous enables her to further support patients who may benefit from this therapy.
Dr. Arjomand attended the University of Western Ontario where she received an honors specialization degree in Health Sciences. She then completed a four-year intensive post-graduate program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Dr. Arjomand has further training in First Line therapy, Bio-identical hormones, Bioenergetic Auricular medicine, and Intravenous therapies. She is a member in good standing with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors, the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Ontario College of Naturopathic Doctors.
Dr. Arjomand is willing and looks forward to collaborating with other health care professionals as part of your personal health care team.
