Dr. Prema Vaidyanathan

Associate PhysicianDr. Prema Vaidyanathan got her MBBS from Calcutta Medical College, India and then went on to do her post-graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, London, UK. At the Royal College, she was awarded her MRCOG and FRCOG. Dr. Vaidyanathan became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada after completing her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa in 1996. She later pursued her Masters of Science training in Clinical Embryology and Andrology at Jones Institute, Eastern Virginia Medical, USA.

Dr. Vaidyanathan has been delivering patient-centred, personalized care that encompasses the spectrum from preconception care to mature woman’s health. Dr. Vaidyanthan provides minimally invasive fertility enhancing surgeries and major gynecological procedures at Etobicoke General Hospital, William Osler Health Systems. Dr. Vaidyanthan has a special interest in Integrative medicine and stress management. She is a Yoga Alliance Certified yoga and prenatal yoga instructor. Dr. Vaidyanthan obtained her Diploma in yoga therapy for medical doctors from SVYASA yoga university in India. She continues to integrate the state of art Western medicine and wholesome holistic care in her practice. Dr. Vaidyanthan is the medical director at Etobicoke Fertility Centre, Active Staff Obstetrician, and Gynecologist at Etobicoke General Hospital and Associate Physician at Anova Fertility.
